Researchers from the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research recently inspected the grounds underneath a supermarket. After a bit of digging, they found a mass grave underneath the supermarket.
The researchers expected to find some human remains under the supermarket because it was built upon a 17th-century hospital. They could never have expected anything like this.
